OLHEISER FINISHES 15TH IN THE

MT HOOD

CYCLING CLASSIC

\

It's time for another NRC event this week as Mike Olheiser is in Hood River, Oregon competing in the Mt Hood Cycling Classic.  As described in Cycling News, "This stage race is predominantly contested on the roads of the Mt Hood National Forest.  The single-lane logging roads and steep climbs of the area make for a tough event with more than 23,000 feet of total climbing.  The final and pivotal Three-Summit Road Race includes more than 7,500 feet of climbing in 75 miles and a mountain-top finish."

Olheiser, who placed 9th in last year's event, was looking to continue his success at NRC races and of course - he did great.  He placed an impressive 7th in the opening prologue and 10th in Friday's time trial.  Mike finished in 15th place overall.
